How Home Visits Work for Cosmetic Consultations

Booking, what to have ready, and what happens on the day.

A home visit follows the same clinical steps as a clinic appointment: a full assessment, written consent before any treatment, and sterile, single-use equipment.

    Booking

When you request a time, tell us your suburb, a few days or times that suit, and anything we should know about getting to you, such as parking, a gate code or how to get into your building.

    Getting your space ready

    You don't need much:

    • A chair at a table, near a window or a good lamp
    • Your medication list and details of any past cosmetic treatment
    • Pets settled in another room
    • Time without interruptions, since a consultation usually takes 30 to 45 minutes

    During the visit

Your doctor takes a medical history, asks about your goals and explains your options, including doing nothing. A consultation usually takes 30 to 45 minutes. If you decide to go ahead, you'll sign a consent form first, and nothing happens unless you're comfortable.

    Afterwards

You'll get written aftercare and a review, usually about a week later, with the same doctor. If anything concerns you in between, contact your doctor directly.

    When a clinic suits better

Some people prefer a clinical setting, or don't have a quiet space at home. If your health or your home means a clinic is the better setting, your doctor will suggest one. Clinic appointments are on Ryrie Street, Geelong, and you can choose one when you book.
